A Typical Day At Mount Sinai

A structured routine is very important when participating in rehab. The more time you spend occupied, the less time you have to think about using. Boredom is often a major source of temptation for relapse. At Mount Sinai Wellness Center, we keep our patients busy with a full schedule from sun up to sundown. Residents will participate in therapy, group disruptions, therapeutic activities, and more as they walk the road towards recovery.
A typical day at Mount Sinai Wellness Center:
  • 6 am – Vitals and medications
  • 7 am – Breakfast
  • 9-12:00 pm – Intensive group therapy (DBT track; CBT track; Trauma track, Equine Assisted Therapy)
  • 12 pm – Lunch
  • 1 pm – 5 pm – Recovery Group Programming/Healthy Lifestyle Activities
  • 5 pm – Dinner
  • 6 pm – 12 Step recovery Meeting
  • 7 pm – Meditation/Recreation in Recovery(Volleyball, Basketball, Game Night, Corn Hole, etc.)

Addiction treatment is different for everyone, so your schedule may be slightly different from this. No matter what your treatment entails, you can expect to have a day full of activities designed to help you find peace of mind and build effective strategies for managing addiction.
